Primary Lithium Batteries

Primary lithium batteries are single-use, non-rechargeable cells designed for applications where long service life, reliable performance, and minimal maintenance are critical. Unlike standard alkaline batteries, primary lithium cells offer significantly higher energy density, a wider operating temperature range, and an extremely low self-discharge rate — retaining their charge for up to 10–20 years in storage.

Our range includes Saft lithium thionyl chloride (Li-SOCl₂) cells, widely used in utility meters, gas and water meters, GPS tracking devices, industrial sensors, remote monitoring equipment, and other applications where battery replacement is infrequent or difficult. Available in standard cylindrical formats including AA (LS14500), C (LS26500), and D (LS33600) sizes. All batteries are stocked in Australia with nationwide delivery available.
